Values 

King of Kings Lutheran Church has embraced and lives by the following values. God has placed on our hearts that we should be a Faithful, Christ-Directed, Community. We have attempted to capture the observable behaviors that best describe these values as follows:

Faithful

By receiving daily spiritual nourishment directly from God’s Word and by application of the wisdom so garnered, we are guided and knitted together in love, unity, and belief in Jesus, confident in his grace, immovable in the world. Our priority is on preaching and teaching that the authority of Scripture reigns in the church and the in hearts and minds of all who attend.  We focus on our relationship with Jesus, being in Christ, finding our identity in Christ, naturally loving others, and connecting everything to the New Covenant of making disciples in sacrificial love!

Christ Directed

The Christ-directed church was designed by Him with five objectives: 

1. Outreach – Evangelism:  Continuing the work of the Lord who came to “seek and save the lost,”  Going into the community in which we live daily, telling others of “the night-and-day” difference Jesus has made in our lives by witnessing to others whenever the opportunity presents itself. This is the first Christ-directed objective and probably most important in today’s world.
2. Worship:  Gathering at least weekly for praise and worship, exalting the Lord Jesus Christ expressing individual and corporate love for Him. Finding revelation of the Father’s love, plans and purposes and receiving the power for the coming week, seeking direction, encouragement, comfort, purpose and ever renewing our commitment to follow Him. 
3. Fellowship:  We find encouragement strength and supported by sharing with others who embrace the same beliefs through Christ-centered conversation that encourages each believer to continue to grow and mature in the things of the Lord. The directive of coming together is to enjoy the benefits of membership. 
4. Discipleship:  Being discipled in the basics of the Christian faith forms the foundation upon which a Christ-directed life for the Lord is built, rooted, and grounded in the love of God, in a life-long discipling process.
5. Service:  We are to serve others as Jesus did – motivated by love – God’s love flowing through us. Every believer in our church has chosen a Christ-directed service area and place, where they can serve others in the Name of the Lord. 

Community

King of Kings is a genuine community of believers, blessed by the Holy Spirit, with an active sense of belonging, characterized by financial generosity and active cooperation in God chosen missions. We feel we are providing a sign of Christ’s grace to the world. Together, we share common behaviors and beliefs which actively encourage and support everyone’s spiritual growth, as we walk together through life’s trials and joys. We interactively learn from the wisdom and insight of our fellow members, further enriching our sense of community, which better enables us to spread the news of Jesus’ love and salvation.
