Persis
Our Church has recently adopted the first trained Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog for the Tulsa Area. Persis is part of the LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry which is a nationwide ministry using dogs, all Golden Retrievers, to reach people with mercy and compassion. LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs are trained animals to interact with people of all ages and circumstances who are suffering or in need. They are also dispatched in times of disaster and crisis to bring comfort to all those affected, including first responders and the volunteers who serve them. This provides a bridge for ministry to take place. King of Kings has a team of trained volunteer handlers and ministry partners who work with her in our community.

Persis is a trained LCC K-9 Comfort Dog at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Glenpool, Oklahoma. She serves every day in the community in which she is placed and is deployed in times of disaster and crisis to bring comfort to all those affected, including first responders and the volunteers who serve them. Persis is a friend who brings a calming influence and allows people to open up their hearts and receive help for what is affecting them. Persis is available to visit your church, group, care facility, veterans and all first responders.
