Rev. Rick Tabisz

Pastor Rick was born in San Antonio, TX but shortly afterwards, moved to Chicago and remained in the state of Illinois the rest of his youth. He graduated from Lisle High School in 1972. He attended DuPage Community College in 1972-74, then Concordia, RF in '99 and 2000, studying Organizational Management. In 2005, he received his MDiv from Concordia Seminary in St Louis, MO. He is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry program through Concordia Seminary, Ft. Wayne.

Before attending the Seminary, he owned and operated a computer consulting firm. Prior to that business, he held various sales & operations management positions in the computer and audio industries.

He and his wife Debbie have been married since 1977. They have 3 children: Carolyn, Rick & Tim, and 6 grandchildren.

What do I do at King of Kings? I'm a pastor - a shepherd, servant, and a leader. I was sent to Glenpool to plant (establish) a new church. Like you, I am a child of God, and a forgiven sinner. As such, I try to be useful in teaching God's Word, through preaching relevant messages and through developing disciples for Christ. I strongly believe that God's Word is eminently practical for our lives. God's Word - especially the Gospel - offers us hope for eternity. God uses every individual for His purpose, at His time, in a particular place. When not directly engaged in ministry, I enjoy serving the community and in missions, both foreign and domestic. I am a voracious reader, and enjoy a little woodworking, and fishing. My golf game is horrible.
